The more obvious part is that displaying banners advertising with doFollow attribute will pull Google’s attention easily, so you should avoid this.

Unfortunately, link farms or directory sites are not good choices, although they promise to give you great opportunity to get links easier. These sites can cause your site Page Rank to drop considerably. A particular blog or website with a few incoming links from directories won’t give significant problem but if it include all inbound links, this can be a great issue to worry about. Indeed, it seems that you must be more careful in taking the attempt to improve your blog or site.
