Latest Features Included in Latest Google Earth’s Update for Android Users

Google Earth is a helpful application that let you to see the details about earth’s surface. Recently, Google has announced the latest update of Google Earth 1.1. This update makes the application more and more mesmerizing because now the application includes the ability to dive the deepest ocean and allows Android users to see deeper through their cell phone.

To assist you to have better view about the part of earth you want to see, the application is updated with useful ‘look around button. Through ‘look around’ button, you will be given a way to explore the depth of ocean as clear as when you look the details of Earth’s surface through the application.

Besides the latest ‘look around’ feature, Google Earth 1.1 also introduces another update which is the option of ‘Explore the Ocean.’ As you select this option, the application will bring you to see the layer that contains of several photos and videos from 100 contributors. Moreover, through the ocean view, you will find out that there are gold icons that mean ‘hope spots.’ This ‘hope spots’ are regarding a particular movement about ocean protection which is Mission Blue Hope Spot Initiative. Through this feature, you are expected to increase your awareness about protecting ocean.

Furthermore, the more interesting thing about this update is that users with Android 2.2-based smarthphone will be able to see videos entitled ‘Explore the Ocean’ appears within Google Earth’s tag bubbles. This option is in fact introducing another new feature emerges for the application which is the Flash that now has become another important support for Google Earth.

Google Product Manager, Jennifer Austin Faulkes stated through a blog post that the latest program is designed with easier navigation even for most devices run Android OS. Users are now able to use two fingers to operate the ‘look around’ feature or just to change viewpoint. You don’t even need to use on-screen button anymore because your two fingers will make things easier, for example tilting the view as you want to see landscape, mountainous, or even the underwater canyon.

Indeed, it seems that Google Earth would become more and more serious application and it is also reliable. With the additions mentioned above, many users will take more benefits. Thus, you can get the update as well as the application of Google Earth 1.1 for Android 2.1 or later through Android Market. This way using the application will be just more fun.
