iPhone to come with CDMA Chipset to Run on Verizon Network

Recently, Apple establishes the mutual cooperation with Qualcomm for its iPhone by ordering CDMA chips that is planned to run over Verizon Wireless network. The plan will be carried out into a realization in December and the product as well as the service is reported to be ready in January 2011.

According to trusted sources, the Apple’s order is in fact include millions of units of CDMA chipsets from Qualcomm. The submitted order of those chipsets that fulfill the plan for iPhone to run on Verizon network is due in December. Thus, it is obvious that the exact time of the order due in December is a significant preparation for January launch.

It is regrettable when the news that Verizon once rebuffed Apple’s offer to carry iPhone in 2007 that included a cut of customer’s monthly bill aroused. This incident brought about negative outcome which influence the costumers’ trust to Apple. However, Apple has been developing the CDMA iPhone since 2007 even though the same rumor still haunts the company.

Dealing with single network Apple acquired for its iPhone, many analysts suggest Apple to enable the iPhone to run on every carrier available because this can be the best way for the company to keep involving itself in the competitive market especially with the appearance of Android-based devices.

Thus, Apple should consider that by offering iPhone in every network will give advantageous result as it competes with Android. Apple will be able to block the distribution and marketing benefits when it can stands beside Android in whenever Android is on sale, especially when iPhone runs the same network with Android.

This can be easily to guess that a customer who has contract with one of three major U.S. carriers, let’s say Verizon, T-Mobile, and Sprint, will be preferring the less expensive device like Android or Blackberry than iPhone that comes with more expensive carrier like AT&T. Many customers would choose those carriers to avoid the Exorbitant Early Termination or ETF fee payment when in particular condition they have to break the contract.

Therefore, viewing the situation surrounds it, Apple will have to consider the action to run its iPhone on every carrier, especially the major carrier in which its network is tolerable. Moreover, the company should consider seriously the contract that binds the loyal customer especially regarding the cost. It is better for the company not to charge the customer extraordinarily expensive through the exclusive contract or highest bidder. Indeed, it is clearly seen that most exclusive carrier deals bring insignificant benefits for both consumers and shareholders.
